Projects

Moon allows you to create Projects in order to organise the uploaded samples.

The Projects menu can be accessed through the Lab menu at the top left of the screen. The overview page lists all created projects, with their current number of samples included, possibility to edit existing projects and and the possibility to remove any of the listed projects.

Creating new projects

To create a new project, simply click the New Project button at the top right of the Project screen and enter a project name. A note can be optionally added to provide some additional information. Save the created project.

Editing Projects

On the Projects overview screen, use the Edit link for a project of choice in order to change the name of the project, or update the associated Note.

Adding samples to projects

Existing samples

Existing samples can be added to one or multiple projects of choice by following the steps below:

  • On the sample overview screen, select one or more samples that you want to add to the same project, by clicking in the area next to the sample name.

  • Upon selecting the samples, a new drop-down menu appears at the top right of the list of samples.

  • Use the drop-down menu to select the Project to which you want to add the select the samples.

  • A confirmation will appear to indicate that the selected samples have been added to the selected project.

These steps can be repeated to eg. add samples to multiple projects.

New samples

You can directly upload samples within a given project. To do so, go to the project overview page and click the Project name of interest. This will show you the list of samples currently included in the project. When uploading new samples with the New Samples button shown on this screen, the newly uploaded samples will automatically be added to the selected project.

Removing samples from projects

To remove samples from a project, select the project of interest on the project overview page. This will show you the list of samples currently included in the project. Select the samples you want to remove from the project, by clicking the area next to the sample name. Upon selecting the samples, a new button will appear at the top right of the list of samples, that allows you to Remove the samples from the project.
